Colorado Music Festival

At Chautauqua Auditorium, 900 Baseline Rd. Celebrating its 50th anniversary season, this internationally acclaimed festival brings together professional classical musicians from around the world. A Free Family Day featuring Peter and the Wolf takes place on July 12.

World-Class Music, Quintessential Boulder. Experience a stage full of the world’s finest musicians, an all-wood auditorium vibrating with rich, vibrant sound. Add an audience with a zest for life and a taste for exhilaration. Breathe in a bit of that Boulder air, and it’s all there: the Colorado Music Festival.

Join us in celebrating four milestones: the Festival’s 50th anniversary, the Center’s 30th, Colorado’s 150th, and our nation’s 250th. The Festival honors these remarkable occasions with world premieres, educational programming, and much more. July 4th Concert Celebration

July 4, 2026 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Glen Huntington Bandshell at Civic Area, Boulder, CO. Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a thrilling Fourth of July spectacular! This festive symphonic celebration features patriotic favorites, cinematic blockbusters, and beloved American classics in a concert full of heart, excitement, and star-spangled energy. From soaring anthems to fireworks-worthy finales, it’s the perfect way to honor our nation’s past, present, and future through the power of live orchestral music. This event is generously made possible by the City of Boulder, and is part of the Arts in the Park series in collaboration with the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Grace Commons, 1820 15th Street, just a couple blocks away from the Boulder Bandshell. Tickets required.

FIRST FRIDAY

July 3rd, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. NoBo First Friday is a FREE event featuring rotating monthly art exhibitions at the NoBo Bus Stop Gallery and the NoBo Art Center, Crowd Collective, East Window Gallery, Studio Mews and many more Artist studios. Join for live music at the Roots Music Project stage, food trucks, artist demos and special activations in many locations around North Boulder. Take a self-guided tour using our monthly map of artists’ studios and creative businesses. Meet painters, sculptors, photographers, designers, artists and artisans along your stroll through the area. Pick up a map at the NoBo tent and look for our bright colored flags to find surprises around every corner.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival

Rotating performances throughout July 2026 at the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre and Roe Green Theatre at CU Boulder. The festival returns to its newly renovated historic outdoor theater. The July repertory lineup features Twelfth Night, Julius Caesar, Shakespeare in Love, and the world premiere of Friends/Romans/Countrymen. Cost: $31 – $109 per ticket depending on the seat and performance

GLASSWORKS WORKSHOP

July 3rd, 6 to 8:30pm At Colorado Glassworks 1500 Pearl Street Ste. D Boulder

Explore the magic of making stained glass in our Make & Take glass classes perfect for folks looking for a unique art experience. In these classes each participant will receive a pre-prepped glass pattern depending on the theme of the class. We pre cut the glass so you can focus on learning the essential steps of foiling, soldering, and completion. Our instructors will provide individualized instruction and support throughout the class to ensure you feel confident and achieve a stunning finished piece. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a completed stained glass Sun-catcher, ready to display and enjoy in your favorite window. All materials included in class cost! This class makes a hot air balloon. $148.40 per person
